He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Broussard and Beulah Broussard; and his siblings, Emma Broussard, Mary Broussard, Walter Broussard, Joseph Broussard, Jr., David Broussard, Earlene Todd, Yvonne Lawson, Helen Broussard, Betty Broussard, Hazel Rockett and Ronald Broussard, Sr..
He is survived by: his wife Joan Broussard of Cassopolis; his children, Tracy Cosey (Sheldon) of Dowagiac, Michelle Payne (Walter) of North Carolina, Larry Williams (Erin) of Grand Rapids and Donald James Broussard, Jr. of Cassopolis; his grandchildren, Ariel, Asia, Tyrae, Jalen, Adrian, Ashley, Donald James III, Isaiah, Nikhil, Yanni and Renaya; and his sister Jestina Ventress of Elkhart, Indiana. He is also survived by five great grandchildren.
The family prefers memorial contributions in Donald's name be made to the charity or organization of the donor's choice.
