He was predeceased by: his parents, Freeman Whittaker and Janet Whittaker (Garbutt); his siblings, Allan, Erwin, Evelyn, Cecile, Melvin, Ralph, Harold, Leona and Veron; and his son-in-law Tom Rasdale.
He is survived by: his wife Ruth Ann Merchant of Cass City; his children, Ann Borger (David) of Simi Valley, CA, Becky Rasdale of Dewitt, David Whittaker of Cass City and Colleen Whittaker of Traverse City; and his brother Wayne Whittaker (Evelyn). He is also survived by nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Cass City.
