He was predeceased by: his wife Susan Herringshaw; his parents, Tobias Herringshaw and Margaret Herringshaw; his sister Janice Gardner; and his stepson Michael Hutchinson.

He is survived by: his sisters, Karen Spiess and Cheryl Zielinski; his children, Christopher Herringshaw (Samantha), Heather Baker and Tobin Herringshaw (Amy); his niece Ashley (Nick); and his nephew Josh (Amy).
