He was predeceased by: his parents, Alford Witherspoon and Minna Witherspoon (Iseler); his wife Florence Ann Butler; his son Kenneth Alan Witherspoon; and his siblings, Eurotta Hind (Jim), Willis Witherspoon and John Witherspoon (Sharon).
He is survived by: his children, Kim Rabedeau (Lou) of Milford, Kari Brewer (Steve) of Oscoda and Richard Witherspoon (Lynette) of Cass City; his grandchildren, Jessica Foreman (Joel), Jonathon Rabedeau (Jessica), Leishia Spencer (Jeremy), Alan Brewer, Joshua Brewer, Kera-ann Brewer, Aubrei Witherspoon, Kaitlin Witherspoon and Brandon Witherspoon; his great grandchildren, Evelina, Alazay, Olivia, Hannah, Sarah and Felicity; his sister Alice Fischer of Caseville; and his sister-in-law Rosie Witherspoon of Kinde. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
