He is survived by: his wife Donna (Cooper); his children, Melissa Tompkins Jr. (Jerry), Cathy Nienhuis (Bill) and Nelson Peter; his grandchildren, Shawna, Alex, Nathan, Aubrey, Jaime and Elizabeth; his great grandchildren, Athena, Jaxon, Kalleb, Aerin and Bjorn; and his siblings, Eva, David, Kenneth, Donald and Rhea.
