He was predeceased by: his father William II; his sisters, Jeannette and Mary Schaper; his father-in-law Sherl "Jake" Elenbaum; and his brothers-in-law, Doug Englehart and Mark Gruehn.
He is survived by: his wife Tracy Elenbaum; his children, Megan of Ann Arbor and Mitchell (Katie Bushey) of Pigeon; his siblings, Debra Englehart of Cass City, Diane Wildman (Jerry) of Sebewaing, Marge Weisenbach (Harold) of Sebewaing, Sandy Samczyk (Tim) of Pigeon and Bill of Pigeon; his siblings-in-law, Tammy Dawes (Corky) of Tennessee, Terry Gruehn of Sebewaing and Todd Elenbaum of Pigeon; and his mother-in-law Marge Elenbaum of Sebewaing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, A.B.A.T.E. (American Bikers Aiming Towards Education of Michigan), or American Cancer Society (for brain cancer research).
