She was predeceased by: her parents, Roman Booms and Theresa Booms (Lautner); her husband Jerome G. "Jake" Essenmacher, Sr.; her sons, Steven and Timothy; her brothers, Floyd Booms, Herbert Booms and Clifford Booms; and her sisters-in-law, Audrey Booms (Alvin) and Patricia Booms (Herbert).
She is survived by: her children, Jerome (Patti) of Rodney, Andrew (Dawn) of Concord, Philip (Kelly) of Gladwin, Catherine Comfort (Gary) of Adrian and Margie Bhatt of Mt. Pleasant, Texas; her siblings, Marie Kannikal (Joseph), Alvin Booms, George Booms (Arlene) and Daniel Booms (Marjorie); and her sister-in-law Eleanor Booms (Floyd). She is also survived by twenty grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.
She was a great seamstress and made clothes for her children and many, many quilts for family members and as donations for charitable auctions.
