It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Louis Schafer (Carson City, Michigan), who passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Jean Ann Schafer (Burns); his son Daryl Louis Schafer; and his siblings, Bernard, Pete, Francis, John and Ann Marie.
He is survived by: his wife Margo Schafer (Mason); his children, Cheryl Hastings (Dan), Donna Stewart (Barron), Jeanette Sharar (Chris), Jillayne Everest (Brad), Lynell Cavner (Pete) and Dean Schafer (Norma); his daughter-in-law Bonnie Schafer; and his brother Gene Schafer (Priscilla). He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
