He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Zimmerman and Nellie Zimmerman (Hockstra); his wife Marian Jean Jorgensen; his son-in-law Tim McCormick; and his brothers, Larry and James Zimmerman.

He is survived by: his children, Rodney Zimmerman (Sherry), Dorrine McCormick, Lois Mejia (Manuel) and Ray Zimmerman (Sharon Crawley); his grandchildren, Gary Zimmerman (Angie), Lisa Sattler, Jeremy Zimmerman (Marnie), Shane Sattler (Jen), Bridget Phelps (Ryan), Holly Roth (Jonathan), Casey Wirtz (Paxton) and Destiny Villalobos (Adam); his great grandchildren, Tori (Aaron), Skyler, Jace, Khyra, Elysse, Avynn, Kian, Aliah, Jordan, Jerrod (Val), Bryson, Brionna, Sawyer, Rae, Silas and Dean; his great great grandchildren, Keegan, Riley, Bradlee and Beckham; his siblings, Ike Zimmerman (Miriam) and Grace Clark; and also Kennedi Stout.
