Though William Lee may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy William Lee leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Virgil Bortel and Edna Bortel (Carothers). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Bortel (Campbell) of Fowlerville, Michigan; his sons, David Bortel, MD (Leslie Schutz, MD) and Kirk Bortel, MD (Dawn); and his grandchildren, Campbell Bortel (Sierra) of Kansas City, Quinton Bortel of Columbus, Gabriella Bortel of Grand Rapids and Alexandria Wahl (Chase) of Grand Rapids, Michigan..
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Caro United Methodist Church (670 W Gilford Rd, Caro, MI 48723). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 14th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider memorial contributions to the Caro United Methodist Church Samaritan Fund or Michigan 4H.
