He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Stapleton and Florence Stapleton (Wilkins); his son Patrick L. Stapleton; and his siblings, James Stapleton, Veronica Humes, John "Jack" Stapleton, Marguerite Simerson, Raymond Stapleton, Rosellen Stapleton and Genevieve Kothe.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Barrow; his sons, Chris (Beverly), Jeffrey (Amy) and James (Judy); his grandchildren, Jeffrey, Ryan and Emma; and his great grandchildren, Kylah and Gracie.
