She was predeceased by: her parents, Alijandro Alegria and Maria Alegria (Lombraña); her husband Melvin N. Ackerman; her son Scott Ackerman; her brother Alex Alegria, Jr.; her nieces, Angela and Linda Davila; her nephew Walter Chmura; and her siblings-in-law, Ronald Ackerman, Dean Ellicott and Mary Ackerman.
She is survived by: her daughter Valerie (Bradley Hartel) of Caro; her grandchildren, Kayla Jamieson of Caro and Allison Diaz Mora (Pedro) of Grand Rapids; her great grandchildren, Brayden, Owen and Brynn Merchant; her siblings, Frank Alegria (Becky), Arthur Alegria (Linda), John Alegria (Crissy), Blanche Arellano, Oriole Alegria, Helen Davila (Andy), Rose Edwards (Ernie), Linda Gainforth (Bill) and Jane Alegria; and her sister-in-law Carol Ellicott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Clara's family will be present to receive friends at St. Christopher Parish on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. Christopher Parish or Heritage Hill Assisted Living.
