He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer A. Hessling and Leona Hessling (Geiger); his grandparents, Henry, Adeliade Mary Hessling (Terbrack), Barney and Anna Geiger (Artman); his parents-in-law, Gerald J. and Margaret I. Finger (Peavy); his sister Donna C. (Casimer N. Klama Sr.); his siblings-in-law, Gerald R. "Jerry" Finger and Charlotte Hessling; and his granddaughter Victoria McRae.
He is survived by: his wife Eleanor I. "Jean" Finger of Helen's Catholic Church; his children, Felicia Jean (Jay McRae) and Austin B. Hessling II (Kandie L. Hessling); his grandchildren, Lillian Hessling, Tristin Hessling, Trentin Hessling and Elizabeth McRae; his siblings, Richard L. (Nancy Hessling), Warren (Sharon Hessling), Kevin (Louise Hessling), Mark Hessling (James), Judy Hessling (Bridget) and J. D. "Doug" Brown (Steven Hessling); his brother-in-law John B. (Constance Finger); and his nephew Roland Harkey of Prescott. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Ransford Collon Funeral Home (205 W Sherman St, Caro, MI 48723). A rosary was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Cemetery (910 W Frank St, Caro, MI 48723).
