He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur McCarty and Malinda McCarty (Baker); his wife Gwendolyn Bramlette; and his siblings, L. D. McCarty, Eddie McCarty, Pearl Sparks, Ilene Wells and Wanda Newsome.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Bishop (Bob), Robert W. McCarty (Linda), Brenda Richards, Carol Stumpf, Jean Montie (George) and Rick McCarty (Linda); his brother Jack McCarty; and his friend Gladys Phillips.
In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Woodhaven Baptist Church.
