He was predeceased by: his sister Bonnie; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Wehking and Charley Samar. He is survived by: his parents, Arthur Malwitz and Adelaide Malwitz; and his children, Dennis Malwitz (Kim), Darrin Malwitz (Stephanie Shaw) and Daniel Malwitz (Nikki). He is also survived by grandsons (Austin and Samuel), sister-in-law (Barbara Samar), and several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to St John's Lutheran Church of Waltz, VA of Ann Arbor, Visiting Angels of Monroe, or Heartland Hospice Care of Ann Arbor.
