Joe H. Meadors Jr. Obituary

Joe H. Meadors Jr., age 67, of Carleton, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023 at his residence.

Born on October 26, 1955 in Kentucky, he was the son of Joe and Pearl (Broyles) Meadors.

He was employed with Carleton Iron & Metal before going to H & H Metals as a Crane Operator for over 35 years, and retiring in 2022.

He had a great love for fishing. He was known for riding his lawnmower around town, helping cut grass for those who couldn't. He may or may not be known for doing donuts in Ash Park, depends on who you ask.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents, nephews, Ernie MacLellan, Adam Phillips.

He is survived by his partner, Denise Wentworth, daughter, Joyce Fletcher, son, Jonathan Meadors, grandchildren: Tiana Marie Brightman, Brandon Garrett, Joe Garrett, siblings: Joyce Heikkinen, Sherry (John) Desser, James Meadors, Joanie (Joe) Gorak, Jennifer Clendenin.

Memorial visitation will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home, Carleton Chapel on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Military Honors will be held at Bobcean Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
