He was predeceased by: his parents, Columbus Vance and Nancy Vance (Wiley); and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth Rakes, Geraldine Lambert and LouEllen May.
He is survived by: his wife Ramona Vance; his children, Derrick Vance and Tena Havican (James); his siblings, Dallas Vance (Patricia), Glen Vance (Gracie) and Christine Lambert (Leonard); and his grandson Travis Jordan Vance. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends.
