With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Cheryl L. Rivard of Carleton, Michigan, born in Warren, Ohio, who passed away on September 14, 2024 at the age of 75. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Cheryl L. Rivard to pay them a last tribute.

As we bid adieu to Cheryl's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Cheryl has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Horace "Bud" Barclay and Ann Barclay (Elinsky). She is survived by: her husband Earl Rivard; her son Jason Rivard (Kristy) of Monroe; her sister Karen Brown (Lee) of Liberty Township, OH; and her grandchildren, Sophia and Thomas Rivard. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bacarella Funeral Home, Inc. (1201 S Telegraph Rd, Monroe, MI 48161). The lying in state was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (8109 Swan Creek Rd, Newport, MI 48166). A Mass was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

To honor Cheryl's commitment of the importance of a Catholic faith-based education, the family asks that any monetary acts of kindness be directed to St. Charles School in lieu of flowers.
