He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Burgess and Rosalie Aisthrope; and his sister Lori Burgess. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his children, Brittiany Ludington (Abby), Michael Burgess (Samantha Armstrong), Matthew Burgess (Jamie) and Noah Burgess (Hannah Hopkins); his grandchildren, Jalen Armstrong, Bryson Burgess, Bentley Burgess and Carson Burgess; and his siblings, Shannon Dasharion, Cubby Burgess, Lance Burgess (Christa), Sharon Kassuba, Gary Dale Aisthrope (Cassie) and Patrick Aisthrope. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kaatz Funeral Directors - Capac (202 N Main St, Capac, MI 48014). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
