With heavy hearts, we announce the death of William James Potton of Canton, Michigan, born in Avalon, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 15, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Potton and Martha Potton (Roberts); his son David; and his brothers, Larry and Dale.
He is survived by: his wife Thelma Webster; his children, Alan Potton (Sharon) of Cypress, TX, Bryan Potton (Nancy) of Troy, Rebecca Stark (David) of Brunswick, OH, Mary Hatcher (Steve) of Canton and Karl Potton (Dawn) of Westland; and his sister Ruth Clark (Dan) of Neillsville, WI. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.
