He is survived by: his spouse Mary; his children, Joe Schmitt (Kristi), Julie Palm (Mike), Chris Schmitt (Terri Gibeau), David Schmitt (Shawna) and Jay Schmitt (Nicole); and his grandchildren, Kayla, Amber, Caitlyn, Keegan, Madison, Kenzie, Alison, Liam and Declan. He is also survived by brother and their spouses, as well as many loving cousins, relatives, and friends.
