She was predeceased by: her brother Michael. She is survived by: her husband Robert Gassel (Bob); her sons, Ryan Burton (Bridgett) of Rockford and Darin Gassel (Hayley) of Livonia; her grandchildren, Chloe, Alexis, Lance and Austin; and her brother David (Margaret) of Brighton.

In lieu of flowers, donations to The University of Michigan C.S. Mott Children's Hospital are deeply appreciated.
