He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James Salvatore and Mary Martin Purpura; his wife Mary Ann; his children, Greg Purpura (Renna) of Fountain Hills, Barbara Lee Meier of Canton, Andrea Nonnenmacher (Victor) of Westland, Judy Purpura (Peter Hadiaris) of Santa Rosa and Rich Purpura of Southgate, Michigan.; his grandchildren, Andrea Meier, Matthew Purpura, Michael Purpura, Tamara Purpura-Rowell (Matthew) and Nicholas Hadiaris; his great grandchildren, Max Lewis, Adelaide Meier and Lupine Rowell; and his cousin Theresa Dunn.
