He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Albert and Wanda DeWitt (Chezecki); his wife Nancy DeWitt (Luttrell); and his siblings, Patrick, Bud DeWitt, Jackie and Margaret DeWitt.
He is survived by: his daughter Patricia Gearns (Joseph) of Plymouth, MI; his stepdaughters, Shaun McGraw of Wayne, MI and Hilary Garcia (Abe) of Westland, MI; his grandson Cullen Gearns of Plymouth, MI; and his siblings, Helen Schultz of Westland, MI and Tom DeWitt of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
