He was predeceased by: his son Christopher (Hunny); his parents, Richard Rye and Carline Rye; his siblings, Ken and Cindy; and his former wife Bonnie.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Rye; his sons, Scott (Maura), Alan and Matthew (Heather); and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Abigail, Aedan, Anna, Nicholas and Adeline. He is also survived by relatives, cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends also form a true extended family.
