We are sad to announce that on March 31, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Dorothy Bassett (Canton, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

As we bid Dorothy farewell, let us not mourn the absence of her physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of her spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Dorothy is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Stambersky and Mary Stambersky; and her sister Judy (Maurer). She is survived by: her spouse Del Bassett of Hastings; her daughters, Karey (Mike) and Denise (Dave); and her granddaughters, Katerina, Karissa (Henry), Katelyn and Morgan.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Matthaei Botanical Gardens (she enjoyed their classes), or the Michigan Humane Society (she loved her pets).
