He was predeceased by: his parents, Barnard Sherwood and Jearldean Sherwood (Brown). He is survived by: his wife Chris; his daughter Shelby; his sister Cindy Smith (Johnnie); and his aunt Mary Burns. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
