He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Postma and Anna Mae Postma (DeWeerd); his parents-in-law, Edward Young Sr. and Norma Jean VanDyke; and his great-nephew Keaton Allyn Roelofs.
He is survived by: his wife Cindy; his children, Peter Postma (Jennifer), Joseph Postma (Sarah), Kirsten Cheek (Steve) and Kaelyn Postma; his grandchildren, Sahara, Damien, Cahtrina West, Lucy Jo Postma and Michael Douglas Postma; his siblings, Craig Postma, Diane Koning (Chuck) and Dawn Nagelkirk (Gary); and his siblings-in-law, Dan Young (Pam), Ed Young and Cheri Honderd (Mick). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made Jamestown Baptist Church or Hospice of Michigan.
