He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Mundy and Cora Mundy (Rasbaugh); his grandson Connor; his brothers, Clayton Mundy and Harold Mundy; and his siblings-in-law, Joe Sanderson and Katherine Mundy (Kite).
He is survived by: his wife Gloria Carter; his children, James Mundy Otis Mundy (Sonnie), Apryl Spangler, Stan Mundy (Shelley), Dan Mundy, Vicky Cekander (Cory) and Taylor Spangler; his grandchildren, Alexandria, Mikayla, Sarah, Clayton, Ariana Mundy, Morgan Williams (Trace), Nichole Mundy, Justin Mundy Carter Welch (Lamont), Keanna and Jaylen Mundy; his sisters, Joyce Sanderson and Carolyn Bentley (Keithel); and his sister-in-law Sharon Mundy.
