He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Manninen and Elna Manninen; his wife Dorothy Kumpula; and his brothers, Robert, Clayton and Marvin.
He is survived by: his children, Judy Losinski (Tim) of Red Wing, MN, Mary Schoeder of Rockford, Marvin (Kathleen) of Laurium, Steven (Debra) of Virginia, MN, Brian (Mary), Michael (Suzanne) of Cedar Rapids, IA and Scott (Paula) of Ishpeming; his sister Arlene Harvey (Don) of Cape Coral; his siblings-in-law, Molly Leffler (Chuck) of Laurium, Lois Manninen of Alpharetta, Georgia, Stella Mottonen, Mary Kumpula of St. Cloud, Beatrice Kumpula, Don Kumpala of Mohawk and Phillip Hill of National Mine; and his friend Shirley Clark of Onnula Location. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
