It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joan Heikkila of Calumet, Michigan, born in Laurium, Michigan, who passed away on October 3, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Buckett and Eleanor Buckett (Puhek); her brothers-in-law, Dave Ahonen and Rolf Leary; and her niece Jona Ahonen.
She is survived by: her husband James of Fulton; her children, Mathew Heikkila (Denise) of Calumet, Mark Heikkila (Sherry) of Novi, Karl Heikkila of Mohawk and Sara Heikkila of Ahmeek; her grandchildren, Kelly, Megan and Dana; and her siblings, Mary Ahonen of Big Traverse, Barbara Leary of St. Paul, John Buckett (Mary Jo) of Marquette, Laura Moore of Laurium and Tom Buckett (Marie). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers donations could be made to Omega House, Houghton, Michigan.
