He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Kamppinen and Martha Kamppinen (Ranta); and his sister Arlene Kaare (John). He is survived by: his wife Brenda Limback Lahti; his son Tim Kamppinen (Amanda) of Grand Rapids, MI; his stepchildren, Ben Lahti (Kirsten) and Mandi Flowers of Calumet; his grandchildren, Draven, Marley, Audrey, Sylvia, Oliver and Mabel; his cousins, Alvin Hiitola, Gloria Peltola (Cliff) and Ed Avedisian (Sandy); and his nephews, Billy (Rae) and Jay Kaare (Carolyn).
