He was predeceased by: his parents, Randall Garrett and Jenny Garrett (Bennett); his son John Floyd Garrett; his wife Theresia; his siblings, Roy Garrett, Vonda Mullenax, George Garrett, Erma Mae Black and Palma Garrett; and his grandfather Garrett (Grandpa).
He is survived by: his daughter Betty Antilla (Bob Wareham); his grandchildren, Kevin Antilla of Calumet, Kristin Cirino (Mike) of Hillman and Karmen Antilla of Orlando, Florida.; and his great grandchildren, Brandon Antilla, Brevin Antilla, Braylinn Antilla, Briana Antilla, Giuliana Cirino and Maddex Cirino.
Before Covid hit in 2020, he was in hospice at Canal View for a year and recovered so well he went back home to live on his own for the last four years until his bad fall March 4th, 2024, breaking his artificial hip.
