He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude E. Peterson and Koch; his son Brent "Barney" Peterson; and his parents-in-law, Raymond and Mabel Garnett.
He is survived by: his wife Janice L. Garnett; his children, Al Peterson (Mary) of LeRoy and Paula Justin (Ken) of LeRoy; his daughter-in-law Laura Peterson of Three Oaks; his grandchildren, Raeanne, Jenna, Allie, Mac, Josh, Jamie (Maverick Martin), Julie and Erika; his great grandchild Addie; and his brothers, Robert Peterson of Sand Point, MI and Peter Peterson (Janice) of LeRoy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
