He was predeceased by: his in-laws, Lyle Scheffler, Ralph Scheffler (Esther), Mary Lou Griffin (Les), Zada Lautner (Joe), Lloyd Scheffler (Dorothy), Florence Scheffler and Ted Vander Linde.
He is survived by: his wife Janice Marie Scheffler; his children, Lorie Thompson (Kevin) and Audrey Scheffler; his grandsons, Victor Luttrell (Kaileigh) and Alex Scheffler; his stepchildren, Joan Hughes (Rob), Gary Gabrielse and Tina Bouchard (Steve); his stepgrandchildren, Katherine Hughes, Evan Hughes, Nathan Hughes, Noah Gabrielse (Taylor), Eden Gabrielse, Isaac Gabrielse, Jonah Gabrielse, Brianna Lewis and Christian Lewis; his great grandchild Caroline Luttrell; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Sam Lewis and Ivy Gabrielse; and his in-laws, Jerry Scheffler, Diana Flagg (Jim), Eileen Vander Linde, Marian Vandellen (Rich), Glenn Weesies (Donna) and Sheryl Koning (John).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zaagman Memorial Chapel (2800 Burton St SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49546). A memorial service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
