It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Edna Mae Shomler of Caledonia, Michigan, who passed away on February 27, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Garvin Melton and Bertha Melton; and her husband Bob Shomler. She is survived by: her brother Doyle; her children, Theresa Schultz (Bob), Rob Shomler (Cheryl) and Robin Emrich (John); her brothers, Glynn Melton and Donald Melton (Marcia); and her sisters-in-law, Irene Melton and Sonja Melton. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Kentwood Baptist Church (2875 52nd St SE, Kentwood, MI 49508). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, March 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kentwood Baptist Church.
