He was predeceased by: his parents, William Vernon and Geraldine June Vermilyea (Smith); his granddaughter Bailey Vermilyea; his brothers, David and Steve Vermilyea; his parents-in-law, Bill and Edith Hughes; his nephew Mark Jacobs; and also, Steve Bacon and Steve Morrison.
He is survived by: his spouse Beverly A. Hughes; his sons, Matt Vermilyea (Julie), Jason Vermilyea (Lisa) and David Vermilyea (Susan); his grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Dylan, James, Faith, Kaitlyn and Emma; his siblings, Charlie Vermilyea, Judith Hill, June Taylor (Chuck) and Sandi Faulkner (Bob); and his parents-in-law, Jimmy Hughes (Chris), Dennis Petee and Pat Jacobs. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
