He was predeceased by: his father Louis Milton Haines; his brother Thomas Milton Haines; his in-laws, Robert and Marian Finnerty; and his brother-in-law Steven Finnerty.
He is survived by: his mother Marguerite Ann Haines (Nosko) of Cadillac; his wife Barbara Ann Finnerty; his daughters, Lindsey Haines of Traverse City and Carrie Benninger (Bill) of Cadillac; and his sister Tammy Doornbos (Dan) of Traverse City. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
