He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Kent and Mary Kent (Leitz); his brother Clyde Kent Jr.; his sister-in-law Sharon Kent; his sister Marylou Hansen; his siblings-in-law, Thorval Hansen (Butch), Nancy, Jim Brannam and Mark Tossey; and his father-in-law Herb Strieby.
He is survived by: his children, Amanda Kent (Sam Lansdale) of St. Johns, Florida and Eric Kent (Kimberly) of Boca Raton, Florida; his siblings, Mike Kent (Debbie) of Fenwick, Dan Kent (Connie) of Gowen and Valerie Tuttle (John) of Ionia; and the mother of his children Linda Kent (Strieby) of Deland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
