He was predeceased by: his parents, William Dean and Joyce A. Birdwell (Robinson). He is survived by: his children, Andy Birdwell of Cadillac, Alex Birdwell of Cadillac, Aaron Birdwell of Big Rapids and Brittney Schwartz (Haley) of Cadillac; and his siblings, Stephen Birdwell (Edith) of Cadillac, Sally Herald of Traverse City and Sharon Birdwell of Pensacola, Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
