It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sammy Joe Barker of Cadillac, Michigan, born in Lawton, Oklahoma, who passed away on August 6, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Everett and Gladys Mae Barker; his siblings, Ellis Barker, Jack Barker, Wayne Barker and Ella Mae Noller; his daughter-in-law Frances Barker; and his great grandchild Caroline Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Barbara Childs; his children, Michael Barker (Jacque), Brian Dale Barker, Linda Shaw and Daryl Barker (Melanie); his grandchildren, Michael Barker (Allison), Timothy Barker (Rachel), Elizabeth Garner (Tyson), Olivia Sztykeil, Brandon Shaw (Sarah), Alex Shaw (Annie), Brianna Shaw, Daryl Barker, Jr. (Leanna), Brook Mckenzie (Derek), Samuel Barker (Moriah), Madison Barker, Amber Dellinger (Isaac), Marshall Barker and Everett Barker; his great grandchildren, Caleb, Joy, Rowen, Ezra, Jude, Sammy, Amos, Olive, Florence, Crosby, Finley, Wren, Titan, Elijah, Julian, Conrad, Ava, Owen, Daxton, Mason, Cassidy, Bryson, Kayden, Valerie, Lewis and Skyler; and his sister Joyce Barbre.
