She was predeceased by: her parents, John Boes and Henrietta Boes (Hooker); her stepfather Myne G. Meekhof; her siblings, Don Boes (Hermina), Harriet Foster (Edward) and Doris Boes; and her stepsiblings, George Meekhof (Clarice), Gerrit Meekhof (Kay), Frieda Nederhoed (Joe), Bert Meekhof (Nell), Henrietta Meyer (Al), Jeanette Podbilski (Robert) and Hermina VanderHoef (Joseph).
She is survived by: her husband Richard James "Dick" Austin; her children, Heather Lynn Bawden (Douglas James Bawden) and James Bonner Austin, II of Manton; her grandchildren, Sammonte Shawn Bawden and Ethan James Austin; and her siblings, Jim Meekhof (Judy) and Lois Martin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
