He was predeceased by: his parents, Herb Carpenter and Helen Carpenter (Curtis); his siblings, Jerry, Dennis, Lyle and Doris; and his son Roger Lee Carpenter.
He is survived by: his wife Susan McCauley; his grandson Rob; his son-in-law Jim; his children, Alan Carpenter (Caroline) and Katrina Cariano (James); his stepchildren, Dennis Prince (Roxanne), Kathy Jant (Keith), Dan Prince (Kris), Lori Tidey (Matt) and Kelly Caplan (Barney); his granddaughters, Heather (Ralph) and Amber Carpenter (Donnie); his close friend Doug Paddock (Penny); and his pet Sassy.
