It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Larry McConnell of Cadillac, Michigan, born in Reed City, Michigan, who passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Frederick and Elaine Katherine McConnell (Werner); his father-in-law Howard Slocum; and his nephew Scott Bathrick. He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Slocum; his children, Matthew McConnell of Cadillac and Ryan McConnell (Megan) of Lake City; his siblings, Belinda Bathrick (Mike) of Kentucky, Mike McConnell (Faye) of Cadillac and Bill McConnell (Rose) of Cadillac; and his parents-in-law, Irene Slocum of Cadillac, Jan VanHouten (Dan) of McBain, Deb Walsh of Rockford and Sandy Hill (Mike) of Bellaire. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
