She was predeceased by: her father Duane Jay; and her stepfather Bert Kroes. She is survived by: her daughter Chalicia Lynne Argo of Cadillac; her grandchildren, Emily, Dawson, Spike Jr., Carson and Lucy; her significant other Jim Scott of Cadillac; her mother Beverly Kroes of Cadillac; and her siblings, Duane Houvener (Pam) of Tennessee, Jeff Houvener (Julie) of Indiana, Matthew Kroes (Jennifer) of Kentucky, Eric Kroes of Harrison and Shannon Kroes of Ypsilanti. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
