He was predeceased by: his father Sylvester Knapp; his stepparents, Luella Knapp and Richard Ruthruff; his siblings, Steven Knapp and Linda Knapp; his stepsiblings, Cindy Ruthruff Stanley and Herbert Luce III; his niece Summer Johnson; and his nephew Jason Knapp.
He is survived by: his children, Kevin Knapp Jr. (Felicia) of Cadillac and Katlynn Knapp of Cadillac; his stepsons, Jason Peppler and Dale Peppler (Kendra) of Muskegon; his grandchildren, Karina, Kevin (Jamie), James Knapp III, Cleona, Arianna and Tony; his siblings, Donald Knapp of Reed City, Christine Johnson (Kim) of Tustin and Susan Holmes of LeRoy; and his stepbrother Robert Hughes (Grace) of South Dakota. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
