He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Munch and Lillian Munch (Zilly); and his siblings, Donald Munch and Phyllis Bowden (Munch). He is survived by: his children, Debbie Kitchenmaster (Mark) of Lapeer, Carl Munch (Donna) of Troy, Elizabeth Brown (Michael) of South Carolina, Brant Fahle (Patti) of Connecticut, Mindy Saari (Fahle) of Massachusetts, Ron Munch (Marybeth) of Cadillac, Trisha Franklin of Big Rapids and Joe D. Munch (Traci) of Grand Haven; and his brother Robert Munch. He is also survived by numerous grandkids and great-grandchildren.
