He was predeceased by: his father John L. Smith. He is survived by: his mother Patricia A. Smith (Satterlee) of Cadillac; his children, LeeAnn R. Eash of Cadillac, John L. Smith, III of Cadillac and Christina N. Smith of Las Vegas, NV; his granddaughters, Renee and Kayla Eash; his siblings, Lisa Nichols (Dean) of Alabama, Debra Smith of Cadillac, Brenda Engels (Mike) of Cadillac and William Smith (Kathy Alworden) of Boon; and his fiancé Venus Truax of Cadillac. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
