He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril J. Murphy and Kate F. Murphy (Thompson); his great grandchild Lucas Eastman; his sister Marcie Noland; and his nephew Michael Noland.
He is survived by: his wife Rosanna; his children, Molly Martin (Cory) of Cheboygan, Brendon Murphy (Natalie) of Howell and Kevin Murphy of Willis; his grandchildren, Nicholas Eastman (Brittany), Tyler McGough (Karmin), Jacinta Murphy (Terry) and Jasmine Murphy; his stepgrandchildren, Christopher Eastman and Reese Berry; his great grandchildren, Avery Eastman, Riley Eastman and Carson McGough; his nephew Brian Noland; and his cousins, Joe Thompson and Doug Brown.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Peterson Funeral Home (205 E Cass St, Cadillac, MI 49601).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Friends of Mitchell State Park Carl T. Johnson Hunting & Fishing Center.
