She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Sylvester and Myrtle Mary Mongar (Auker); her son Roy Brainerd; her grandson Alan Harrison, Jr.; and her brother Robert Mongar.
She is survived by: her husband Ralph W. Brainerd; her children, Peggy Truax (Larry) of Cadillac, Ralph "Duane" Brainerd (Suzanne) of LeRoy, Patricia Price of Cadillac, Susan Harrison (Alan) of Manton, Dale Brainerd (Robin Brainerd) of Lake City, Scott Brainerd of Cadillac, Jeffery Brainerd of Cadillac and Christie Reinhardt (Rick Walters) of Manton; her siblings, Shirley Falor of Cadillac, Harold Mongar of Cadillac and Betty Murphy (Bruce) of Lake City; and her close friend Terri Hite. She is also survived by 29 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
